PolyJohn PJN3 standard porta potty units ready for a residential renovation delivery in Bethlehem
A standard PJN3 is the usual pick for a 2–6 person renovation crew.

How much does a porta potty cost for a home renovation?

A standard PJN3 is $185 for the first 28 days plus a one-time $65 delivery and pickup fee, then $165 per 28-day renewal, with weekly service included, before 6% PA sales tax. A six-week bathroom remodel therefore costs $185 + $65 + $165 = $415 before tax. A deluxe unit with a sink is $265 per cycle if the family will use it during a plumbing shutoff.

There is no contract and no auto-pickup: you call when the crew is done and billing stops that day. See the pricing guide.

Where does it go on a residential lot?

The driveway apron or the side yard by the hose spigot, on firm level ground our truck can reach within 25 feet. A standard unit rolls through a 48-inch gate. Keep it off the sidewalk, off the street (City of Bethlehem right-of-way permit required), 10 feet from a hydrant, and off a septic drain field. Facing the door toward the house rather than the street is the neighbor-friendly choice.

Do I have to tell my HOA or neighbors?

Check your HOA rules first; several Bethlehem Township and Hanover Township developments, including the 55-plus communities, limit how long a unit may stay or where it may sit, and some want notice. The City itself has no rule against a unit on private property. A one-line heads-up to the neighbor who shares the driveway line avoids the only complaint we ever hear about.

Who is responsible if the crew damages it or it tips over?

The renter on the agreement, which is usually the homeowner, not the contractor. Tip-overs, graffiti and foreign material in the tank are charged at repair cost. We stake units on exposed lots and add a hasp and padlock free, which takes the risk close to zero; report anything the same day and we reset or swap the unit.

What does weekly service look like at a house?

On your route day (Monday for the South Side and Lower Saucon, Tuesday for Bethlehem Township, Wednesday for Allentown, Thursday for the North Side) the driver parks at the curb for about eight minutes, pumps the tank, washes the unit, restocks tissue and sanitizer, drops deodorizer and signs the log card. Nobody needs to be home. In July and August we add a double deodorizer charge.

Can the contractor rent it instead of me?

Many do. Whoever signs the agreement is responsible for the unit and the billing. Ask your contractor whether the toilet is in the bid; if not, renting it yourself is usually cheaper than the markup.

The water will be off for two days during the plumbing work. Short rental?

Use the weekend rate: $225 standard or $325 deluxe with a sink, delivered the day before the shutoff and picked up the day after, delivery included within 15 miles.
